When I first started the blog in the summer of 2009, I called it "Grad-Student Girlfriend" and talked about my relationship with my then-boyfriend who was a PhD student. Hence, I was "The Non-Student."
2. Why don't you use your real first name instead of "The Non-Student"?
I have a strangely spelled first name, and I keep this blog anonymous for a lot of reasons, namely that I want to write without worrying about who is reading it. Only a handful of my friends know about the blog.
3. Who was this SCL character?
SCL (aka "Summa Cum Laude") is my ex who, by his terribleness, prepared me for the love of my life--Carolina Man.
4. Carolina Man is awesome. How did you meet him?
He's my boss's stepson! She set us up, and it worked out wonderfully.
