One More "WTF" for Dr. N

A few days ago I disabled my OkCupid account, but not before checking out Dr. N's profile one last time.

RED FLAG. He changed his age from 30, to 28! Say what?!

I don't know what his deal is, but I think there's something else going on with this dude.

Off to enjoy a dateless (by choice) evening!

  1. That's so weird! Did you happen to see what his facebook said before you unfriended him?

  2. Um, just so you know, I've been told there is a very freaky side to OkCupid. It can be used, and I actually know people that do this, for strictly sexual relationships. It's like a swinger site, you just have to read between the lines.

So that could explain why he changes his age.

  3. MAJOR wtf. You're well shot of him...

  4. Hmmmm, so he really is a "player"......guess he wanted someone even younger than you! someone who was not looking for any serious commitment. Dr. N does not want honesty or commitment. He just wants to have sex and think he is god's gift to women!

Good thing you deleted him! Awesome!

  7. Oh, dang. What happened to Dr. N. He had so much potential. Sigh. :(

Enjoy your dateless night! Sometimes, they are the best!!

  11. I know it's frustrating and upsetting, but I think this really might be best for you. To take a little break and get some air before diving head first into the deep end again :)

    Good luck!

  12. @Kate, No, but we discussed on multiple occasions how he's 30. So, he's a'lyin'.

And, after the fact, I'm like, "Wow, he totally misrepresented himself to me, just like he's going to with all the other girls he ropes into dating him." I wish I could send them all a warning.

Just happy I can say I was upfront and honest with him!

  13. I don't even understand why someone would want to lie. That's a terrible warning sign. Makes me glad that you took it slow.

  14. Super sketchy. It shows he's capable of telling a bald faced lie and throws into question everything he's told you, I think. I also think it sounds like he was maybe looking for more of a casual sexual relationship. Nothing wrong with that but he really misrepresented himself and wasted your time given you were upfront with him about being recently out of a relationship and not someone who does casual sex which is really shitty. There are girls out there who are just looking to hook up- why can't he go after them?

  15. ahem ... dontdatehimgirl.com ... just sayin' ;)

  16. Oh, ignore my last comment. That site used to be a place where women posted PSA's about men they'd dated, but they must have gotten sued or something. It's just a dating advice site now. Snooze. ;)

  17. Maybe he took some magic pill and got 2 years younger...you never know

hehe but seriously, thats a bad move especially if someone is watching you, you gotta do it secretly.

  18. Maybe he just got back from Nevernever land and he's having a Peter Pan moment?

I'm willing to bet if he changed his age from 30 to 28, it's probably not the first time he's done this. Even money says he's older than 30.

  19. Wow....when you're only 30, why would you even feel the need to lie about it? It's not like that's old or anything. What a tool. Dodged a bullet there.

  20. The more I think about this guy, the more I think he is a total sleeze bag. He lies about his age, and gives you all the lines women love to hear.....for example......signing up for the ballroom dance lessons so you 2 could dance together, showing his mom your picture, moving grammy into assisted living (that looks so transparent now given the retrospecoscope; lol).
It makes me so mad at him (and all similiar guys) to think that he knew you had just had your heart broken, and were vulnerable and bruised....yet he gave you the idea that you had something special and possibly long term. He used all the lingo to indicate that you had a future together....the dancing, the mom photo, the "what if it is safe?".
How can someone of character and any integrity do something like this? Answer is they can't so that tells you this guy has none!!
He has some psychopathic tendancies to act this way. It is not normal. And then.....to just up and disappear after 6 dates!

He's a user and a low life! Not at all what he pretends to be. And you are so lucky have had that exposed now, instead of later, when he might have actually sucked you in for real! You were very wise to be guarded and take it slow.........this guy is not who he pretends to be. And I think deep down he knows it, and that's why he can't face you or email you, or say much of anything. Because if he did, he would have to admit that what he did was as low as you can go!

Time to regroup and take a break from men. It's guys like this that make dating so painful. I am just glad you found out when you did!
